Emmanuel Otieno Ngore, MSc.


Emmanuel Otieno Ngore is a young Professional with over 12 years professional experience in research, advocacy, project development and project management spanning environmental issues related to trans-boundary and international waters, sustainable development, climate resilience, integrated water resources management (IWRM), water health and sanitation (WASH), public private partnerships, livelihoods, agricultural research and development, youth and agricultural/ agribusiness engagement, fundraising, advocacy, monitoring & evaluation, policy analysis and research. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science from Kenya University and a Master of Science in Environmental management from the Open University in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom.


Mr. Ngore has engaged extensively in the global agriculture and environment policy spaces undertaking expert assignments for UNOPS, NDC Partnerships, USAID Policy LINK, UNEP, FAO and ICRAF. At UNOPS, he is providing technical advisory support to the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) Partnership work in Africa to maintain climate action, resilience, environment and water and sanitation programs and projects efficiency. At USAID Policy LINK, he coordinated stakeholders engagement, especially youth, parliamentarians and civil society groups to enable their contributions to the implementation of Africa Union’s Comprehensive African Agricultural Development Programme – CAADP. One of his achievements in this role was facilitating the establishment and coordinating the functions of CAADP Non-State Actors Group (CNG), The Consortium for African Youth in Agriculture and Climate Change (CAYACC) and the African Food Systems Parliamentarians Network (AFSPaN). During his time in UNEP, Emmanuel provided technical, administrative and coordination support to the implementation of several UNEP projects including developing International Water Quality Guidelines for Ecosystems, and GEF Enabling Activities to support member states of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) to prepare their National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs) as well as voluntary reporting to Nagoya Protocol. Emmanuel has also led and developed several youth programmes and networks in Africa. During his time as the country representative for The Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD) Kenya, he led youth engagement in the development of Kenya’s Youth in Agribusiness Strategy and also provided input to the development of Kenya Agriculture Sector Transformation and Growth Strategy (ASTGS) 2019 - 2029.
